Hi all Audio Circle members.
I could write a book on my adventures in Vietnam,
especially when it's about repairs of any thing that's broken,
defective or whatever...
When my GR Research SA-1 plate amplifier was brought back to me, I've tried it, but it did not work, so, I brought it back to the technician and one week later, he call me to go to his shop to see with my own eyes that it was working, at his shop.
When I got there, he plugged everything and it start working, I asked him what was the problem, but he did not want to tell me, but then, right in front of both of us, I even had a witness, it stop acting erratically, he tried to fix it in front of me, but could not, so, I went back home and the next day, he brought it back and wanted money. The hell with extra money I told him, I already paid and it did not worked. So I did not pay and when I got home, it was working fine.
End of this long, sad, frustrating story.
Next week, our showroom will be closed all week because of the (Tet) Vietnamese Lunar New Year and I will try to build two OB Dipole sub-woofers, with the two plate amplifier (One of which is the famous defective one) and the four drivers.
I have the wood and I have a jigsaw...
I told you, I should write a book.
18 years here, I have a lot to tell.
