Klaus can answer the warranty questions. I've had the top off to change tubes on my Candela preamp and all it took was the proper size hex wrench. I did not look inside that much. It depends if the back of the RCA jacks as to whether there is nothing around them (like circuit boards). I've had bad solder joints on a couple of RCAs in the past. One was real easy. The other was an old Marantz 7300 OSE receiver where one of the preamp outs was bad (could hear the loose piece in the base). I was not using them anyway (had an outboard amp on the center channel to make it easier on the receiver) and I opened it up and it would mean remover a circuit board above it to get to it. I could have done it but since I don't do those things all that quickly and would want to be careful, I figured I'd end up taking more time than it was worth. So other than the warranty issue, it is just a matter if it is easy to get to. I've had my Modwright preamp and preamp power supply apart and changed tubes and changed fuses in the power supply. Was relatively easy to get to. From looking at the Odyssey website, they show the inside of the Cyclops and it should be easy to get to.
