I know that there are a number of ACers who use it. Though I have not tried it out yet. I don't know of any audio software that won't work with all DACs.

I'd also recommend checking out computeraudiophile.com, where I imagine you can find reviews of this software.

What DAC are you thinking of? Or DAC budget?

And Welcome to AC. I see this is your first post. This is a great forum with lots of supportive and helpful members.

Good choices. I love that the Schiit gear has an upgrade option as DAC technology improves, which it seems to be doing rapidly.

Schiit also great for having a trial period, with maybe a small restocking fee.

I'm a bit of a research bug.
I guess if I had tons of spare change, I would just try things and hope for the best.
But, in general, I do my homework.
I aim to combine research with instinct. In the world of audio, that's still a risk.
While this doesn't make all my conclusions the "correct" ones, I've rarely made a "goof" of a choice
due to the effort involved. I simply evolve my system over time.

And?

Audivana is great!

Is it the best out there?
I don't know.

But, it made an audible improvement in my system. I really like it.

If you need every bell, whistle and convenience, it MAY not prove perfect for you.
If you're seeking great sound, please give it a shot. The trial is free.

Damien really backs up his product with frequent improvements and revisions; all or nearly all of which are free.

Frankly, I rarely "endorse" anything because I'm not as well versed as some of the senior members here.
I recommend you try Audivana.

My 2.5 cents.

Enjoy the journey.

Yeah, find a stretch where you can do some good listening and take advantage of the free trial period. Maybe of it and the competitors.

I use Audirvana and it made a very noticeable improvement in my system. I currently use a Metrum Octave Dac and use a Mac Mini as a server. Like fridays said, just try it for free and see what you think.
