New Toy

Been all over the place with amps and integrateds lately.  The Bob Carver 20 WPC for about 6-8 months.  Most recently did the Cayin A-55T for about 3 weeks for kicks to see what a "good" Chinese amp might sound like these days - KT88 x4.  40 WPC or 20 in Triode mode.  Very nice!  The reviewers weren't kidding!  At a really good price too ($900).  Made the mistake of surfing Audiogon though and stumbled across the Audio Note OTO SE Signature Line stage integrated. 10 WPC.  Had to buy it to pair with my ANJ's.  Sucker's bigger than I expected.  Sounds every bit as good as I thought it would with the ANJ's.  Probably the most natural sounding system I've had.  Even better than the BATman setup with the Von Schweikerts.  (And it weighs a lot less too Blackmore!)

Now I have another amp to get rid of.  Before I put the Cayin on Agon, thought you guys might be interested or know someone who wants to jump into tubes at an affordable starting point.  I paid $900 from Walter at Underwood.  Immediately put new matched quads of EH power tubes on it as one was not happy.  So it's all set to go for quite some time!  I'm the second owner.  It's right at a year old.  Walter said it was $1600 new.

Since I threw new tubes in at $130, I'm trying to get 1K, but will go lower just to get it out of here.

Anyone?  Anyone?  Ferris?

Congratulations on the new amp. I bet it's killer good!!  I think BATman has gotten even heavier since I got it from you.
