Son Volt to reform!!!!
« on: 22 Sep 2004, 10:49 pm »
Just though I'd pass along to any fans out there.  I just received an email that Son Volt would be reforming for a new album, with live dates to follow in 2005.  Album is to be recorded in Jay Farrar's St. Louis studio.  I, for one, am a big fan; they happen to be my favorite band, along with their predecessor Uncle Tupelo.  Any "alt country" fans should pick up the UT and SV albums.  They're available on vinyl for you vinyl-heads.  For those unfamiliar, Uncle Tupelo split with Jeff Tweady forming Wilco and Jay Farrar forming Son Volt.  I've seen all of these groups live over the years and they play great shows.  Jay has a show or two coming up, I believe, in STL at Mississippi Nights for those in the STL vacinity.

Just passing it along,

Brad
