I'm thinking of reinstalling ITunes, among other reasons because I get from time a "sync services" error, and other times it seems to have difficulty logging in with my apple id despite entering in the correct password repeatedly. At one point I also deleted some file in the iTunes folder on the suggestion of some Internet "genius".
My question : has anyone out there done this - ie deleted and reinstalled the iTunes application on a Mac, and if so what were the results / pitfalls? Do you have to reimport / reindex your whole library? At close to 30k songs and almost one terabyte for me I imagine this would take a long time.
If I've already updated over time to the most recent versions of iTunes, is this in effect a reinstall, or am I still carrying over the "bugs" of before? Upgrading / updating ITunes to the most recent version from the version installed doesn't seem to have resolved the problems I've been experiencing.
Thanks for any help / relating personal experience. I'm reluctant to screw up my iTunes further as for the most part the problems / crashes are not too frequent, but if reinstalling can resolve these and be done relatively easy / painlessly, I will.
