This is the 2012 model with an output of 1.65 Vrms which is enough to drive most amplifiers. Unfortunately for me, it will not drive my Bottlehead 300B Paramount amps to full output, so I just purchased a 2013 model which has greater output voltage. Imagine my surprise when I realized the 2013 required a higher level of input voltage than the 2012 model, so I still cannot drive my amps to full volume since I use a passive preamp. The 2012 unit should work with most amps having an input sensitivity of 1.5 Vrms or smaller. I have used it successfully on a pair of subs for the past year. I am a big believer in this firm's products - prior to owning this I was using a pair of their 8033 sub units. The unit has a bypass switch and you immediately realize how much better the bass is. Instead of there being a loud bass boom, with this I have a drum sitting properly between the speakers and real transient impact. Comes with box and all accessories and literature.
