Audio Note's kit version of their AN/E speaker. This Kit 03 version has matched and calibrated silver voice coil tweeters and silver voice coil 98 db hemp woofers and crossovers. The enclosures were also sourced from Audio Note Kits and are fabricated of Baltic Birch plywood. My pair has been professionally veneered by Salk Sound in a beautiful high gloss finish over Curly Walnut w/ a dark walnut dye. They were a recent special order as I purchased them in the raw baltic birch. The picture is of the actual pair. I'll provide more pics later. Sonics are absolutely wonderful. They have been sparingly used and are in very good condition and sound as good, or better, than the day I acquired them. I also have an excellent pair of Sound Anchor stands that mate perfectly with these speakers. I will not separate the stands from the speakers You can go to ankaudiokits.com for more detailed info regarding these speakers. To purchase these speakers now with this veneer would cost over $4600 and the stands would add another $600 or more. I'm asking $3,100 for everything (boxes included).
***At this time, I'd like to keep the sale local to a 200 mile radius of Chicago as the stands are very heavy and I don't want to take a chance and have these beauties damaged.***
The only reason(s) for the sale are due to the fact that I have 4 pairs of speakers and I don't have the right room to get the best out of these, so I'm hoping someone else can get them to their fullest potential. They sound fantastic to me in a not so great set-up....I can only imagine what they'll sound like in the proper room.
My rating of 8 (very good) is very conservative as I'm not the original owner.
