Just joined the AVA family!

I took my first leap into true high end audio with my purchase of an AVA Insight + SL and the Double 240 Synergy. I bought both pieces used at what I thought to be prices too good to pass up.  I have a lower end Rega turntable as my main source, and Bellari tube Phono pre and some very old Polk S6's.

Needless to say, now I'll focus on upgrading the rest of the signal chain (I'm looking at you Supercharged Songtowers...). But I can say even with my modest speakers this amp and pre amp has exceeded my expectations. I've been re-listening to my entire record collection and hearing details that I've never heard before. The sound stage is wide and deep. Depending on the quality of the recording, there has been excellent separation of instruments.

I've even had several moments where I've been so excited at what I'm hearing, that I break out into an Evil Villain BWAHAHAHA type laugh. I'm really enjoying this.

Thank you Frank and team at AVA and thanks to all the board members who have been so generous with sharing their experiences and knowledge about gear.

Welcome and please stick around. Pics of your gear would be great. When you upgrade the speakers you will have a lot of evil villain laughs. You have some nice stuff. Go crazy.

It's a whole 'nother world! I'm not up to your level of components, but I started buying AVA gear in the summer of 2010, with the least expensive (I started to say 'cheap', but NONE of Frank's stuff is cheap - as in cheaply made..) used stuff on the AVA website. I've upgraded twice, now have all my electronics AVA, and I'm still ecstatic.

Welcome to the club!

Good for you, Yomaha!

I bought my AVA amp a few months ago, so I understand your excitement.

I got to hear the Song Towers (not even super charged!) at Axpona and I was very impressed with their great sound. No wonder people like Salk speakers.

Both AVA gear and Salk speakers are great deals IMHO.

Well, you certainly have a good foundation for amplification.

I have had my T8 pre for almost two years now and like it very much. Settled in very nicely with my system. So far the only things I have changed on it are the source input, and the volume...
