A new pair of Grado SR60i's ($100) was bought and then modified ala Head-Fi threads.
Jmoney leather headband ($50), white cover for the drivers removed, rear cups replaced with DIY Indian Rosewood ($50 for the wood), rear mesh installed ($20), Mogami starquad wiring ($30), Vampire 1/4 plug ($15), 3 sets of foam earpads (approx $50 - the giant ones pictured, the medium sized ones and the foamies).
