VPI Scout 1.1. This is the latest Scout model that was released earlier this year. The Scout 1.1 offers many improvements over the already well acclaimed original acrylic platter Scout, including the new heavier aluminum platter, an improved bearing and the JMW9T tapered tonearm.
My unit was purchased from an authorized dealer and was intended to be for a second audio system, to match with the IFI iPhono. Unfortunately, as some audiophiles will attest to, some dream second systems are just that and never come to fruition. It’s time to move on and I have just sold the IFI iPhono. Hence, the sale of this turntable.
I did open the box when it arrived to ensure the contents were intact and like every audiophile, I was like a kid in a candy store and had to see it. It was repacked shortly thereafter. No cartridge was ever mounted and no LPs were played on it. For all practical purposes, it is new but since I opened the box and viewed the content, I would term it mint/LNIB.
The buyer will be getting a LNIB turntable with all the included factory accessories at a substantial discount. In essence, you are getting a mint Scout 1.1 with all the improvements, for less than the price of a new original Scout.
I am offering it first on the forums and pricing it to sell quickly.
