I am selling my Vapor Audio Cirrus Black speakers. They are veneered in red sapele with a satin finish. They were delivered in March of this year, and I am the original owner. They’ve been set up in my living room (smoke free) and are broken in but not heavily used (I have been on travel three times since they arrived). They have all of the upgrades over the base model that Ryan Scott suggested:
- Crossovers are in the base of the speaker stands. Speakers bolt securely to the stands and connect to the crossover via a Speakon connector and cable at the back of the speaker.
- Custom amorphous RAAL tweeter that Vapor developed with RAAL. (Older Cirrus have the best of the stock RAAL models).
- Silver/gold internal wiring to the RAAL tweeters.
- Jensen capacitor upgrade.
- New crossover topology with some improvement to transparency. (Older Cirrus from ca. 2012 have the slightly more complex crossover design).
- Stands are made from Plum Creek HDF, making them a bit sturdier/heavier than earlier Cirrus stands, according to Ryan Scott.
- Binding posts are WBT-0703 (can be hand tightened easily and securely).
- Black inserts for the stands, in addition to the matching red sapele veneered inserts shown in the photos on the Vapor Sound website.
Price: $4,650 plus shipping by palette (a bit more expensive than UPS, but much more peace of mind). I’m happy to deliver them myself within 200 miles of 22209 (Washington, D.C. area) at no charge. I would not want to ship outside of the continental U.S.
