Bump.
Not sure where this should go, and don't think it's worthy of another thread, so I'll put it here in the "BBQ Guideline" thread that I started.

That being said, here's a GREAT video on the finer points of smoking a brisket. If you've got ten minutes, please watch this.
Note; the "resting" part is one of the most important parts of the equation;

EDIT: It's more of a great story, but there's some great hints at how it's done.

I'd like to spend more than a few hours speaking to him and eating his food. Thanks for the link  :thumb:

A nice piece of meat, properly done on the BarBie, great side dishes, good company, fine wine, well chosen music on a fine system, some good smoke, a little Port or a Single Malt= the good life. What could be better? :D

I don't know who you are, as I've never had the pleasure of a proper introduction and I've never been graced by the sight of your moniker, but....I would like to say that you captured the essence of my making that post in the first place.....in its entirety, without question, and without exception.

Glad I could help guys, I love food as much as music, so it's nice to show my audio guys some of the helpful tidbits from the food side of my life.
Of course, I'm poisoning the BBQ guys with audio and music, so it's not a one sided affair.

Bob

By the way, I'll be smoking a 21 pound turkey tomorrow while listening to great music and consuming alcoholic beverages, spending the day with my family, and even assisting a beautiful female build a pair of speakers for her bedroom. Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day.

Thanks Bob. Among the many pleasures of life, there is much to be thankful for. Friends, family, the bounty of the land, and of course music. Cheers!
