iRadio question for Mac gurus...
« on: 13 Oct 2013, 09:23 pm »
My home desktop computer is a late 2006 20" Imac running OS X 10.6.8.  I want to access iTunes radio on it but it does not show up. A bit of research online leads me to believe I need to be running at least to OS X 10.7 to use iTunes radio. I already use Spotify, but I use iRadio on my iPad Mini and I kind of like it.

They're already on OS X 10.9 aren't they? Can someone please advise me as the wisest (and least expensive!!) option for moving up the OS food chain at this point? Is my machine limited to which operating system I can use? Thanks a million in advance for your input.

Have you checked your selections in the iTunes Preferences General Section? I don't remember if you have to check Radio in 10.6.8 but if I remember correctly you do have to check Internet Radio. I would recommend upgrading to 10.7 anyway as it is more secure from what I've read and the cost is modest ( $20 I think )

Yes. It won't be able to run Mountain Lion, don't know about Lion - http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
