Wanted: Latest version of the Dodd Audio Battery-powered Preamp….

I had one of Gary's preamps a few years ago, and honestly, I really miss it in my system now.  I am using a "Lighter Note" passive preamp, and while it is very good (neutral, transparent, basically a straight wire), I am looking for a bit of bloom and that tube magic that I used to have with the Dodd preamp. Yup, I want to color/warm up my sound just a bit.

If you have the latest version, along with a working battery and charger, remote (yeah, I miss that too) and some good tubes, let me know.  If the price is right, let's make a deal!

Yeah, they look awesome, but that is only a tiny reason of why I want one again….

I like the way that the Dodd preamp "naturalizes" my music, i.e. makes it come alive with dynamics, bloom, air and palpability!  While it may not be the ultimate best at bass control and uber detail, which are really less important to me, it's the way it puts me into the music, and makes me forget about the electronics that is the key. I am looking for that musicality and naturalness again, even if it's called "coloring" the sound.
