MPod or MPad over art problem
« on: 24 Sep 2013, 06:19 am »
Hi,

Just have the BDP-2 running.  Sounds awesome! It beats my Sony 555 by a large margin. I'm listening to it now. I'm still using my Audio Note 2.1 DAC and I must say the combo sounds WAY better than the Bryston BDA-2 DAC.

The problem I have is the MPod/MPad interface, cover art, in particular.  It seems to pull cover art from Amazon and other places which is fine.  But I run all music in the NAS with Folder.jpg in each local folder. How should I configure MPod/MPad so that it shows cover art from my NAS?

My dealer also told me Bryston is working on a new app. It'd great if there is a native Bryston app for the music player.

Thanks!

David

I had the same issue.
I'm no expert but hope the following helps.

In Mpad go into the player button (concentric circles), which should should show your BDP-2 as a 'Configured Player'.
Click the 'Advanced' button
In the ' Local Cover Art' section, put the location of your NAS drive; I have an internal drive on my BDP-2 and the location is 'http://bryston-bdp-2.local/music'
In the 'Cover Filename' section enter the 'Folder.jpg' filename, or whatever you have used to store your cover art; Please note that the filename is case sensitive so you need to make sure the files in your NAS drive match the filename, including any capital letters.

Cheers,
K
