I am currently looking for a way to shield 2 transformers in an amplifier I'm putting together.  (Specifically, AKSA 100)

I was thinking the magnetic shielding used for speaker magnets would make a good choice since they're round and I could possibly find one in the right size.

Has anyone tried this and if so, what's a good source for the shielding?  Is it something that's fairly easy to make?  

Ideas and suggestions for shielding transformers are appreciated.

Mumetal is made to shield magnetic fields.

I think Michael Percy sells some.

I saw this term (mumetal) come up a few times in my searches... Just not sure what it is.. or where to get it.  I didn't see it in Percy's catalog but, is it something else that could be picked up locally?  like at a metal fabricator's shop.. hardware store.. etc.?

I'll do some more searching on mumetal... muuuuu.

**update** I did some searching and ordered some 'mumetal' from Emil sp? at http://www.lessemf.com/  $15/foot for a 4" strip.  Seems pricey but, he had some and is delivering it.  Thanks for the advice.

Look on page 14 of the catalogue, just after the pots.

He has a shielding film from TI and a shielding kit with alloys (I presure mumetal).
