Mike is a STL electronic tech who works out of his home in Maplewood/Richmond Heights, and his work on my gear has always been first rate. He's great to talk to, makes great suggestions and has even loaned me a few components just on a handshake basis.
About 8 weeks ago Mike called to say he was coming through the hinterlands of south-central Missouri, and asked if I wanted to try a California Audio Labs Alpha tube DAC in my system. "Sure!" I said, and Mike and the DAC showed up on my doorstep a few days later.
I was AWOL for over a month and finally hooked it up this afternoon. A HUGE improvement in clarity, air, depth, you name it! Much closer to analogue! :hype: Now I have to ask Mike for an invoice since I won't be returning it.
Mike is a real treasure to us GAS guys!
