Reluctantly up for sale is a custom made subwoofer that I bought from Klaus at Odyssey.  The sub was part of a package deal with Klaus that included Nightengales and a Nemesis center.  The sub originally was priced at $1,200.  I am asking $600.

As you can see from the below pictures, the sub is in oak.  It has a 12" passive on the front and a downfiring 12" active on the bottom which is driven by a 350 watt Jayco plate amp.

This sub worked very well no matter if I utilized it for HT duties or 2 channel listening.

What is a really nice feature is that this sub comes with a remote which can control the frequency and the volume.  This remote has come in very handy when my better half is giving me the "sub is too loud" look during movies.

As far as I know there are only two such subs like this out there.  It was built for Odyssey by Alain Courteau.  The sub is in excellent shape and always played in a non-smoking home.

I live in NE Ohio and a local sale is preferred although I will ship at the buyers expense ( the sub is definitely not light).  I would consider driving and meeting someone who lived in SE Michigan, Indiana or elsewhere in Ohio.

Regards,

Randy

Final reduction down to $525 + shipping.  I will pay the PP fees.

FYI - I will be in Battle Creek, Michigan on July 23-24 on business and if someone in that area is interested, we could set up a meeting or I could possibly bring it right to your home.  If you paid cash instead of PP the price would be $500.  :D

Thanks for looking.

Instead of paying A'gon $25 to list this, I will reduce this sub down to $475.

I am still willing to drive a reasonable distance rather than crate this puppy up.

I can get you the dimensions later tonight.

I do not have specs for this sub.  There were only two of these subs built as Klaus did not want to get into the sub market.

I can only compare this sub to a NHT that it replaced.  After a good dose of break-in, and careful level setup through my HT receiver, this sub really does a great job.  It is very powerful and at times I feel like my windows are going to shake out of their frames during action scenes in movies.  I've  have the crossover set at the 60Hz and also at 80Hz and the volume knob at about 9 o'clock.  Volume starts at 7 o'clock.  When I have the volume set at 12 o'clock my wife looks at me like I am a crazy man!

The sub integrates very well with my Odyssey Nightengale speakers for watching movies and TV.  I also use it for Internet Radio when I am going back and forth between our family room and kitchen.  It does a great job on reinforcing the bottom end.

There is a 300 watt plate amp on the back with an on/off/auto detect switch.  There is a left/right line level and speaker input and output.  There is also a phase switch with either 0 or 180 degree options.

If Klaus has time, maybe he can comment later tonight.

Regards,

Randy
