My original post about this filter its strengths:

This filter is excellent, with little competition at this price IMO, if you live where the power is steady. After a few years of trying to live with several blackouts each summer (unfortunately still the case, so always settling in for three months), I gave up.
I used it with an equitech balanced power unit (Quantum filter plugged into the bottom outlet, equitech in top outlet) and it was a match made in heaven for my DAC. Alan Maher, its designer, told me it worked just as well with amplification (and was great alone) but I never tried that since I use dedicated outlets to separate DAC from amplifier. He also told me this unit contained three bybee filters. Unlike his smaller filters, this one didn't lose any magic over time.
