Hi,
The so call high output MC with output voltage in the region of 2.xmV versus most mm in the region of few mV. Do you need to crank up the amplifier volume higher than usual?

Using the word "crank" makes it seem like an extreme difference in volume settings, so I wouldn't use that term; there will be differences in volume, but in most cases it will be insignificant.  At one point, I used a B&K preamp that offered passive output  (i.e. no amplification of the signal); with THAT preamp, volume could almost be turned all the way up and cartridge output might have been more important than with most other preamps.
(BTW, the B&K also offered active outputs with amplification, so if any cart had been too low, I could have just switched to those outputs).
