Excellent components at fantastic prices. I was a happy Sherbourn owner for many years and highly recommend their products.

Yes - http://www.amazon.com/Sherbourn-CD-1-CD-Player/dp/B008I4S28C  but they may not have any left and with the merger with Emotiva, I'd expect future products will be issue there.

Sadly, the rumor is that Jade is going to retire the Sherbourn name and market all their HT & audio equipment under the Emotiva nameplate. I have heard that most of the components they are clearing out now will be resurrected, possibly with some updates, under the Emotiva brand.

I was not in the market to do anything with an upcoming move but at $179 for a preamp with HT Bypass, I figured it was a no brainer.  I'll find a use for it somewhere.

Yup, just the name dies, but the product idea doesn't and neither does the warranty. Emotiva will fully honor the Sherbourn warranties.

Best,
Anand.

Hi Phil,

Do you have a picture of that preamp, and with some info?

Just follow my original link and scroll down.

[EDIT: Correction, the stereo preamp was there a few hours ago, but it is gone now. They may have sold out.]

I had no intent of buying but after the move I'll have two integrated HT/Audio Systems and I picked up the Odyssey preamp at the Capital Audiofest and at $179 including shipping I figured it's got to be better than a mid-priced receiver for music listening.  I got my confirmation of the order "Thank you for purchasing with Sherbourn Technologies! This email is to confirm your recent order placed on 08/06/2013. "  I actually had two in the cart and thought about it but I really didn't need (at this time) the one and will have to move it along with too much other audio stuff and so I removed one.  There's an image here:

I could not resist the $179.  I have one amp for one spare room and I figured I'd just wait on the other.  They are not particularly big rooms so I won't need a beast of an amp.  Much depends on what I do with one set of speakers for one of the spare room I have now so I held off on the amp.  It will be easier to decide once I have furniture moved in that one room.  I have furniture in the other one so I know what will work.

Someday you'll be comfortable, financially, and you'll have a very nice car too (house and boat as well).  :D
