Wow!  Anybody watching this series, The Killing?  Can't say I've ever seen anything quite like it which is why I think it must be Canadian or something.  Man, it's a booger bear of a mystery show.  The guy playing the tall, loose detective is money.  My daughter thinks so, too, and she's artistic.  Ya'll outta give it a go if it's as new to you as it is to me.  Cheers.

I heard such mixed reviews (mostly bad) about S1 that I didn't even bother giving it a chance. And after being so disappointed and frustrated with The Following, I had no real desire to try S2 on for size. Hope you guys continue to chime in, though....maybe S2 will be worth a look!

I think it's one of the best shows on TV.  My only complaint was that the first murder wasn't solved until the end of season 2.  I think that's just too long to solve a murder on a TV show.  The writing is great, and the acting is very good.  Everyone should at least try an episode or 2.   I'll bet you get hooked!

I believe it is based on a Norwegian show, and the tall cop you reference is too.

I saw the first 2 episodes of Season 3 last night, my first exposure and I am hooked.

I love his odd way too, he pronounces things in a strange diction - similar to Walken, but not like him.

I'm down with The Killing. Really liked s1 & 2 but I bet this season will be much better. They will deliver and fix those small grips from 1and 2.
My prediction for this one is a killing team or a serial killer with a partner or helper. Way to early to know though, just a hunch.

We watched the first and second season of the norwegian series this winter (subtitles) - Series 1 was one of the best things I have ever seen on TV, a real roller coaster ride.  Just hooked - staying up til midnight to watch one more episode.  Very unique combination of tormented detective, great murder mystery, politics, and great characters.  Haven't seen season three, haven't seen the american version either - what network is it on?

Saw a few episodes of the first season when aired, but it was way too drawn out to keep my attention. Plus I just couldn't get the lead actress Big Love sista' wife role outa' my mind whenever I saw her.

I watched the first 2 Seasons in the past 2 weeks.  Totally hooked on this show!

Agree that 2 seasons to solve 1 murder was too long.

In the most recent episode, I nearly wet myself laughing when Holder referred an elderly gentleman as a "vintage playa".
