 The BEM pair does have the original box. The Danny Richie Upgrade was assembled and installed by engineer and the co-founder of Audio Alchemy. It was his personal set.

I have the Ref 3 in BEM with Ninja MAster XOs installed by the Ninja himself, bought the Ref 3s used, and all together I'm $3500 into these speakers, and love them.
