    Hi all. Sweet summertime weather is here !!!! Yeah .. anyway, i have this brand new computer monitor and i want to play movies on it with decent sound from the system. What the heck do i buy to keep the system small (1 box ) and somewhat portable/moveable ???? The monitor has HDMI and RGB in's...... I'm kinda stumped ??  Is there such a machine ?? I could buy the Mini Mac, But is that the only option . i really don't need another computer .. Any help,, thanks so much .....

Do you mean play movies off blu ray or dvd - or do you mean serve movies off a hard drive?

If the latter, I just picked up a WD TV Live Plus used, and attached a 1TB drive of movies, and an HDMI and I am up and running.

What is the rest of your stereo?

You can send the video from any HDMI/RGB source, and send the audio into your stereo.

Either plug the computer into the stereo/monitor, or use a streaming device:
Oppo BDP
WD TV Live
Apple TV
etc...
