Sound bar suggestions?
« on: 4 Dec 2015, 01:03 pm »
Christmas is just over the hill and my daughter's family (non-audiophiles all) might like a sound bar to go with their wall hanging flat panel TV.  It's probably a 42" set, maybe a little bigger.

Need some suggestions that don't break the bank.

THANKS!

Santa

Hey Brick,

Don't forget your local small business guys.  I have a couple deals available.  Latest one on Polk and Yamaha soundbars.  PM me or call if you prefer and I will be glad to help.  Also have some price breaks on NEST thermostats and RING doorbell cameras

Sonos, plus it's expandable to surround, etc. if/when they want.

I just noticed your post, did you ever purchase a sound bar?
If not I purchased a LG sound bar with a wireless sub and it
sounds excellent. Here's a link to BB if you still need it. $140.
on sale right now.

Sound quality aside , the best soundbar is one that is designed to work with the TV that it is matched up with. We have a 64" Samsung curved model, and by using a Samsung soundbar, the two communicate to each other. which means the main remote will control the soundbar (on/off, level, etc.). Very convenient.

Thanks, but I got a Polk system from YourAVHandyman in GAS.  I'd much rather buy from a local guy.  He had it drop-shipped overnight and that saved me a trip.  Works seamlessly with the family's flat screen and THEY are very happy.  Win-Win.
