Hello Fellow Audiophiles,

We hope that many of you will be able to attend the Newport show next week.  We will have two different speaker systems on display to cover two popular price points. $2,895/pr and $7,995/pr.

In Hilton room #306, CIAudio will be running their D-200Mk2 mono blocks into our VR-22 ($2,895/pr) which is a tall two-way tower designed to be placed close to the wall without loss of image focus or bass boom.  Dusty will also be using his Apple laptop and his new DAC/ USB units into the mighty D-200Mk2, using Master-Built 'Purple' cables throughout.  Please visit his room to hear what cost-effective engineering can accomplish if you are lucky to find a combination of gear that sounds this good!  The entire system costs less than $10,000 and will amaze you.

The Von Schweikert / YFS room is #1023 at the Hilton.  YFS builds the best sounding music server we have heard, using the most advanced technology available.  Ed Meitner of EMM Labs is providing us with his DAC2X, an incredible DSD / PCM Dac capable of sounding like an analog tape, which will be driving the amazing Constellation Audio Virgo Line Stage ($29,000) and Centaur 250-watt stereo power amp ($34,000).

These 'ultimate components' will be connected to our UniField Model Two MK2 stand-mount book shelf speakers ($7,995/pr) with an entire Delphi Aerospace "Master-Built" Signature wiring loom, featuring the all-new ULTRA- Extreme interconnect.  The ULTRA-Extreme is an alloy of precious metals, rare earth materials, and a ceramic binder, with the unusual property of being almost super-conductive at room temperature.  Developed for the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at the CERN project in Switzerland, the ULTRA Extreme interconnect wire has the lowest loss of signal based on the alloy's ability to conduct a micro-volt of signal over a 17-mile distance without any significant drop in voltage.  This is the most holographic and transparent cable we have ever tested, but it should be for the $12,000 cost!  If you have not heard a world-class bookshelf speaker driven by a $100,000+ system, please stop by to listen to what we've put together; even we are amazed by the level of fidelity and realism offered by this system.

Many of you have not heard a no-holds-barred bookshelf speaker, and the $20,000-$37,000 models on the market are simply unaffordable to most audiophiles.  Although we realize that $8k is a large sum of money by anyone's standards, it is a fraction of the cost of our direct competition (a beautiful Japanese 3-way bookshelf at $37,000).  By using advanced technology in cabinet and driver design, we believe our UniField Model Two Mk2 speaker system will become a new reference standard.  Several top recording studios, music producers, and manufacturers are using the Uni 2 as their reference speaker system.  In the last issue of The Audio Critic (published in London), ex-speaker designer and famed reviewer Martin Colloms stated in his rave UniField Model Two Mk2 review: " Albert Von Schweikert is a man with a mission...the UniField Two's have a quiet, smooth, understated and richly balanced timbre with a well-focused and deep sound stage with transparency that is the hallmark of the Von Schweikert line, yet is also rather rare.  It is the inner voice for which Von Schweikert has strived so hard to make programme replay sound natural, unforced, relaxed, and unfatiguing.... on that basis, it is Recommended."

There, I couldn't have said it any better!  Please visit our room to hear this fabulous assemblage of state-of-the-art equipment, designed to sound like real music instead of 'hi-fi' as Mr. Colloms so aptly stated.

See you at the Beach!
