Just ordered a Bottlehead Quickie!

On a whim, thought I'd drop a bill on a little battery powered tube line stage. Psyched to build that little thing, maybe I'll learn some electronics basics while I'm at it.  :D

Fun and easy to build. Pretty stunning sonics and at a low buck entry level.  I have one, it is not embarrassed by my Rogue Magnum 99 or BottleHead Foreplay 2.  Wander over to the BottleHead forum, as well. Much good info and chatter!

Cheers,

I love my modified Bottlehead Foreplay II and it sure makes my system sing!  Doc B and Queen Eileen do it right!

Nice...if you like it, spend another $35 for the PJCCS...it will take it up to 11.  Building your own kit is very satisfying...but also a slippery slope.  I did a headphone amp, then a flea watt amp, then it was off to the races! You won't be disappointed...

What color did you get?  Post when the kit arrives....

Best,
John

What's the PJCCS?

It's kinda funny that the baseplate thingy comes in a random color

Paul Joppa Compensating Current Source.  It compensates for battery drain down. Must have!!  First build out the Quickie and get everything sorted, then add.  A pretty simple, quick build PC board.
