I have been reading this and that about what this means for Emotiva, while it is likely that Emotiva will venture into tube amplification, there is also talk that Bob will on board to design a new CABS like subwoofer system with some rumors of multiple micro bass modules that the user can place within a room to smooth out room modes and nulls.  This would be a potential game changer as one of our prominent members would opine.

Brownie points to those who can verify the above.

Thanks Bunky, details of it would be great.  The idea of multiple small bass modules sounds intriguing.

Ask Duke. He did something similar?

DoubleJ:

The rumor is that Bob is working on what would be called the smallest subwoofers out there, but the caveat is that it will be several bass modules to comprise one subwoofer.

This may not be what I was referring to, nevertheless, it is a pretty nifty in wall subwoofer from Sunfire/Bob Carver that debuted in fall 2012:

Definitely has the WAF factor!
