Okay, I can't honestly say I'm surprised but
G.I. Joe- Retaliation is a smoking stink bomb!
There's virtually nothing good to be said about it. The very few positives: The Rock is pretty good and Bruce Willis steals the show. I wish he'd have had a bigger role in the this one and skipped the pathetic Die Hard retread the studio crapped out onto theater screens a few months ago.
The negatives: No story, no real plot. Wooden acting. Pitiful writing. Did I mention no story? Well, there's no story. No JGL, almost no Channing Tatum, the Baroness doesn't return. It's just a mess. Probably because I had low expectations, I really enjoyed the first one. It was absurd but in a fun way. No such luck this time around. It's tedius and downright depressing.
On the bright side, it was around 90 minutes long. Hey, it coulda been two hours!
