tubes for unison unico

I have a unison unico. which uses ECC82 tubes for the preamp section which can also be 12AU7.  I was wondering what brand of tube would be an upgrade if there is an upgrade at all.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  I would especially like to hear from unico owners that have played with changing tubes.

I'm using '80's vintage Mullard NOS tubes in my Unico.  IMHO, they are better than stock and the RCA Clear Tops, cryoed Radiotechnique, and EH tubes I tried.  You can get them for $25 each from Mr Stereo on Audiogon.
