Yeah, although I am a little disappointed no doubt because I was looking forward to the amps (natural I guess).
Overall, I think I am actually relieved.
During the entire 10 days or so waiting for the amps (it's a long story and I won't bore anyone with it),
there was always a little sense of uneasiness even though I had convinced myself that everything was probably OK.

Just do it. The 7bs are a different caliber.  You won't regret it.  The 7bs get you into the choke and transformers that get you into the ease and grace with ultra low noise that The big B is known for.  Not to diminish the 4b because the price makes it the best piece of audio gear built.

Would the 14B have that same caliber?

There is a guy in Winnipeg with the same amps selling them for $200 less and appears to have decent feedback @ Canuckaudiomart. Although I cannot speak for the seller's reputation personally this may well be another option to pick up the same amps. Means you'll have to flog your amp on your own but if you really want a pair of the latest 7Bs with supporting paperwork I would contact the guy....

Yeah I think I've seen that post also.
I think I am just going to wait a year and save up money. I was already stretching my budget for this purchase.
I was just checking and I've spend about $12K on gear in the last 5 months.  :o
I need to cool it for a year.

Anyway, I spun a copy of the recent Hendrix AYE Mono this afternoon (loud, I was at home alone). And it sounded great to my ears.
I don't think I've every enjoyed that album in stereo as much as I did the mono.
Afterwards I was just wondering what the heck am I worried about!  :D

Sometimes things just aren't meant to be.
You may have had a lucky escape so keep your eyes open and the right
pair will appear one day.
Daughter just bought a car on ebay because she liked the colour, it's a complete POS
so i can empathise a lot today!
