I am asking for $2100+shipping.

"The Kharma MP150 offered at $6800/pair is a freak occurrence, a rare marketplace anomaly. This is a case of extreme value. Had they been packaged in a larger, fancier chassis, I have no doubt they would have no problem selling at $10,000 or more. I can't think of a competitive solid-state amp at anywhere near this price. The one that comes to mind is the darTZeel NHB-108 with its $18,000 MSRP. The MP150 is better. Marshall Nack – Positive Feedback, Issue 25"

The Kharma MP150s rarely come up for resale. These amps were personally designed by Bruno Putzeys and were tuned by him to sound like a SET amp, but provide higher power output at significantly higher efficiency and in a smaller, cooler package. I bought these as demos direct from the US distributor so no boxes or manuals (I have a PDF), but I will double box them and pack them very carefully. They do sound a bit like SETs but they are remarkably balanced and very capable of driving all but the most difficult speakers.

I have been very pleased with them in my system – they are by far the best solid state amps I have had in my system (which has only consisted of solid state amps until just recently) over the 15 years I have been in this hobby. They have a wonderful small and light form factor and they run dead cool. The professional reviews of these amps (including the one above) are universally super-positive and they sum up the amps really well. I have included some excerpts from a couple more reviews at the end of this listing.

I am only selling because I have finally decided to try a tube amp. Ideally I would keep both these amps and the new tube amp, but alas I cannot afford it. The amps are in really great condition – see the pictures – and are only a few years old. Essentially pristine tops, fronts and sides. The bottoms have a couple of very small marks pictured as best I could - I had these resting on Aurios Pro Max.

These are the XLR balanced models, but for $75 extra, I will include in the sale for anyone interested a of set nearly new Cardas Clear RCA to XLR adapters valued at $150. These are the best RCA to XLR adapters available, work perfectly with the amps, and I could not detect any effect of the adapters on overall sound.

I prefer Paypal (standad fees apply to buyer). Money orders or cashier’s checks are fine, but I will wait until the check has officially cleared before shipping (might take as long as a week or 10 days). I have perfect feedback on ebay and on audiogon (dgaylin).  Amps are listed there too. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions.

Here are some excerpts from a couple of other reviews:

"The Kharma MP150 has been my reference amplifier since I received a pair in March to go with the company’s gorgeous-sounding Mini Exquisite speakers. Kharma’s MP150 is the best Class D amplifier I’ve heard—and that by a country mile. The MP150 is a beautifully balanced amplifier. No frequencies stand out, and none is disconnected from the whole. The MP150 clearly separates each instrument like stars against a perfectly clear evening’s sky. The MP150 has a beautiful way with dynamic shifts, too. Interestingly, the MP150 is among the smallest and lightest of the amps I’ve tried. But when it comes to tonal naturalness, ambient recovery, frequency balance, continuousness, transparency, depth, and sheer musicality, it is, for these ears, the only Class D I know of that I would choose to live with and is among the most beautiful-sounding amplifiers I know, regardless of type." Wayne Garcia, The Absolute Sound December 2008.

In conclusion, the cooperation between Bruno Putzeys' technical excellence and Charles van Oosterum's pushing the audio boundaries birthed a very competitive amplifier. Without any effort, the MP150 will challenge and defeat many far more expensive SET and solid-state power amplifiers. On top of that, the MP150 makes the choice between tube and a transistor amplifier easy. It's neither, really, since Class D in this special Kharma rendition combines the very best features of both into a couple of very musical bricks indeed.
