Hi Guys,

I went to War Audio today for a look around to find out if Pat had any newer hifi products i could lust after (i can never afford them).

Pat deals in raven tweeters and builds his speakers around these great sounding tweeters.

Anyway the original designer alain bernard has recently designed new ribbon tweeters which are supposedly better sounding than the raven's.

Here is a link for you to look at:

http://www.e-speakers.com/products/beengineering.html

Pat has the first commercial tweeters in the world of this new design.  They looked very impressive to me.  However the price is way beyond what i can afford.  Apparently the cheapest tweeters are $2000au each.  I'd hate to know how much the largest tweeter costs.

Just posted for your information.

Hi Werticus,

Thursday night would be fine with me as i have to go there
at some point.  My N.E.W. tube preamp isn't working and i
have to drop it off for repair.  Luckily i have a spare preamp
to get by with.

What time do you want to meet?

Btw those tweeters are hideously expensive.

Guys, pse ask him if he carries PHL drivers still. And when is he going to update the website?! It's been saying "under construction" for over a year

Hi John,

I agree he needs to update his website as it really doesn't provide enough
information to instill confidence to buy one of his speaker kits.

Living in perth i'm lucky enough to have had the opportunity to audition many of his speakers.  It was an easy choice to buy a pair as other hifi stores carry mass produced speakers and war audio speakers sounded a lot better for the money.

They do have phl drivers in stock.  I think the 6.5inch phl mid/bass drivers sell for $350 each.  Certainly more expensive than zalytron but he has to add shipping and taxes to the price.

Btw if you are interested in listening to the hagtech bugle malcolm fear has mine at the moment.

best wishes
