I emailed him lately.  He is still out due to health issues.  He says he will be working in the new year.  There is a 3-4 month backlog that is growing every day.  He makes each one himself and he is getting the recognition he deserves.  Hope this helps.

Hello Joe,

Paul has been back at work but is not able to work at his normal rate as the hernia repair recovery is still progressing slowly. At present he is off work for a few days with influenza.

Your order is actually on the production line as part of a batch and it should be progressed to completion during March.

Vero

I second that sentiment Rollo. Some vitamin C and D3 should help...

Hi Vero,

Can you check to see how my order is coming along? I sent a few emails to Paul but haven't heard back. I'm sure he's overwhelmed doing what he does best which is building power supplies for customers :)

Thanks

Hi Vero

I'm sure you are bombarded with emails etc, but could you also check the status of my order for the MultiRail PSU please?
It was nearly finished except for the base plate when Paul had to go to hospital for his operation. And send my get well wishes to Paul

Thanks

Hello Gary and Alwin,

The most frustrating hold up has been with regard to metal machining tasks for custom copper mounting brackets, case base reinforcement plates and general casework as the equipment in the machine shop has been too heavy for Paul to move around the work area. I can’t even lift this stuff myself and I am healthy. However, I think with a little care it should be possible to bring this sector back on line over the next week, although it will be slow progress initially, so predicting order shipping is difficult.

Alwin I think your power supply should be ready to go towards the end of March.

Gary, there are still a number of orders before yours so I would be more inclined to look for April shipment.

While I am online, for those wondering about when to expect their order shipment. The speed Paul is able to work is variable depending on how much stress is applied to the hernia repair area during assembly procedures. At present his working day on the assembly line varies between 3 to 5 hours. Hopefully he will be up to normal speed in another month, but the current slow and variable pace makes it very difficult to predict when orders will be shipped out. Stopping to go through records every half hour or so for updates is only going to slow things down. I would prefer not to set a precedent here as I am only in the office part time three days a week at present and I am usually very busy too. All orders will be completed chronologically where possible. Larger power supplies requiring case machining have been held up more than orders requiring light work for completion, but the chronological progression will apply to all order types within specific categories. Most of you have been very patient so far, and thank you, and I hope this patience will continue until we get this backlog cleared.

Regards
Vero

Vero-

May I suggest a couple of things?

A little disclosure. Has Paul shipped any orders out yet?

An email to those whose orders should go out in March saying your orders should go out in March. Presumably these people have been waiting the longest and will welcome some communication.

For those not in the above catagory, an email stating we have your order, things are still moving slowly due to (insert what you have posted above) and thank you for your patience.

I do not believe that providing this update would be all that time consuming, and in fact might forestall some of the inquiries that you mention.
