Kai has decided to live the good life and be an attendee this year (actually, he’s going to take measurements too) rather than hosting so I’m going to try hosting the event in the Des Moines area. I’ve rented a 42’ x 42’ meeting room in the Adventureland Inn at Altoona, Iowa which is an eastern suburb of Des Moines located on I-80 and near the I-80/I-35 interchange for easy access. It will be a one day event this year.
I’ll announce full details once I’ve pulled everything together and also see if Jim Salk will post it for me on audioDIYcentral.com. Dennis Murphy told me that he is going to try to attend Iowa this year so if you’ve wanted to meet Dennis, here’s your opportunity.
I’ll not have an entry in the event this year but anyone interested in hearing my new Omegarrays can come to my house on Friday evening, October 22nd or Sunday October 24th. I’m planning to have food and some beverages available on Friday evening for early arrivals and individuals that stop by for a listen to the line arrays. It should be fun.

Now, for a little basic information. There are a number of hotels within a couple blocks in addition to the Adventureland Inn for those that are driving a fair distance to get here. Email me for phone numbers of the various hotels in the area. There is a restaurant in the Adventureland Inn or there are numerous fast food establishments across the street. Prairie Meadows Casino is next door and several malls are within a 15-20 minute drive on I-80. That should be enough entertainment to keep significant others occupied for the day.
One concession I had to make was that coolers will not be allowed in the meeting room. You can walk in with a bottle of water or a soft drink but no coolers can be carried in. Sorry! Parking is close so keep the cooler in the car and visit as often as needed. They do have vending machines available at $2.00 per beverage.

More details will be announced as they become available.
