Hey now folks....
just as my underwear get changed quarterly, its time to tinker w/the stereo again. I'm going for a full tube rig this time, and that means all of my solid state has gots to go!
Here is the skinny....and i'll be posting this to audigon in a couple days, so you guys get first dibs.
- McCormack DNA-1 power drive
185wpc @ 8ohm doubles down at 4ohm
AWESOME solid state umph. Almost a class A rating from stereophile. You can read their review in the archives at
www.stereophile.com Very powerfull, will run ANY speaker w/o effort or strain.
has a very small scratch on the faceplate that is only visible from up close in the correct lighting.
$650 + shipping
- Musical Fidelity CD-PRE24 $1150 + shipping
original box, manual..etc. Remote controlled. 3-4mo old, perfect condition. A "one box stop" for your front end consisting of
A3.2 preamp (I think???)
24/96 upsampling DAC
Transport (and dac) are out of the many thousand dollar NuVista CD Player. This is an amazing box with more digital and analog I/O than you can use! A wonderful front end, very smoooooth sounding on redbook, which it upsamples to 24/96.
great review at stereophile.com as well.
still under warrantee I'm reluctant to sell this one....its probably the nicest sounding componant i've ever owned.
