I used an Orion HCCA 275 back in the day. I believe it improved the bass from the pair of subwoofers I had in my trunk. I also had experience with another old school Orion which was also a tank of an amplifier.

HCCA stuff was the bomb back in the day. I always wanted some!
I had an XTR200 in a recent car pushing a pair of 10's, was never disappointed.
I have a 4 channel Zapco stored away for future use in a ride too.

The only really good sound I ever got out of a car was from a modified Pioneer Supertuner with a headphone jack. Any decent over the ear headphone beat the devil out of a noisy car environment.... just had to keep my out for the local law enforcement.

I still have a stack of 4 Adcom car amps in the basement from my SQ competition days ... much cleaner sounding thant the Orion stuff. Eventually I'll put them back to use in my RX-8.
