Edit  In the end this Little Dot amp was not sold by Little Dot but by a "third party"

I ordered an amp from Little Dot in Shenzen PRC (just across from Hong Kong) on Tuesday at 9:00 PM.  I received it here outside of Montreal, Canada just after noon today Friday!  That includes customs!  Just incredible.  The seller also had time to contact me regarding house voltage and plug type ...

On the downside 2 out of 4 tubes in the box were shattered.  So I have an amp to look at but not listen to...

Seller tells me I can expect replacement tubes in 15 to 45 days!

And can't say I am thrilled with this type of customer service...

Little Dot is awesome...David, the owner, is a class act. I tend to minimize or avoid buying from Chinese based companies when possible, but in this case I'd buy from David any day. On top of that, the products are solidly built and excellent performers.

My Little Dot package looked like it had been the football in a NFL game. The internal foam cradle seems to save it. Though in mine the tubes were knockout out of the sockets, and the pins all bent sideways.. But with straightening, the tubes were OK.
Someone in customs must really really hate China...

Yeah I know what you mean about buying foreign.  I make an exception for Gr Research and Virtue Audio though...

Yep, it's good to have exceptions when it's warranted. I've just heard too  many QC issues with some Chinese-based companies, so I tend to focus on German, American, and UK based gear when possible.  My amp from Jan Meier of Meier Audio, for example, is built in China for cost savings, but Jan personally QCs every product before he ships it out, and if there are any issues after the product is received by the end user then Jan personally takes care of it. I just have better peace of mind when I know that the process is a bit more strict and someone is overseeing the QC aspect to ensure quality.

As it turns out I did not buy the amp directly from Little Dot.  It did not occur to me that I could be buying a Little Dot amp from Shenzen but I was not dealing with Little Dot but with a reseller.  Both Little Dot and my reseller are on Ebay and charge about the same and ship from the same location...  And they are Chinese right? So it must be the same outfit ...  I am feeling a bit silly...

Little Dot has resellers?? Wow, they must have a really tiny profit margin if that's the case....those products are already super cheap!
