Need info on Ultralinear mode

Maybe this topic is better suited to the lab.  Move if needed.

So, I have many books on tube circuits but can't find any mention on what exactly is done when running a power pentode in Ultralinear mode.  Can someone here help me understand the circuit adjustments (compared to normal pentode circuitry) to achieve Ultralinear mode?

Thx!

U-L topology has been published in many textbooks & audio journals. Google it.

Let me tell you my ears-on experience. Dynaco ST-70 was a U-L topology 50 years ago when it first appeared in the market. I own one.

But frankly I don't like its sound. So I triode-strapped the EL-34 pentodes so that it can be switched
U-L / triode mode with a toggle switch.

When I compared both & I found triode-strapped EL-34 sound so much better than its original U-L mode.
Now my ST-70 has ALWAYS been operating on triode mode since day one after I modified it years back.

Prima-Lunas also has a remote to switch Triode to UL.
All I know about UL is it offer 40% more output power by also connecting the grid to the plate for output.
In Triode the output is just the plate.
