New Year's Resolution
« on: 2 Jan 2013, 05:42 pm »
I don't generally make New Year's resolutions but this year I resolved to locate all the paperwork (invoices, packing slips, manuals) for all of my current AV equipment and put them in a secure place.  Kinda fun to find some docs associated with gear long out of the stack.

But I have not been able to locate the invoice for my BDA-1 DAC.  I do have the Shipping List.

Before I bug my authorized reseller for another invoice copy, I want to ask James if the Shipping List (with Ship Date, Serial # and dealer name) is sufficient documentation for any warranty issues.  If so, I assume this would extend the warranty for any prospective buyers in the used market should I ever decide to move up to the BDA-2 or a future BDA-3.

Keeping invoices together in a safe place is a great idea.  On New Year's weekend in 1991/92 I had most of my audio equipment stolen along with cameras and my TV.  Settling with my insurance company was relatively painless since I had receipts for everything and a replacement value policy.

Can you imagine telling your insurance agent you paid $XXXX.XX for a power cord.  Seriously Sir, I really did pay that much.

Hmmm...the title of this thread sounds like a good angle for the new ad copy for the BDA-2 and BDP-2  :D

Something like this....
