I have one pair of Atma-Sphere MA-1 for sale
This pair was older design model with 12 x 6AS7s and 4 x 12SN7 per monoblock
I bought these used from here Agon, and seem to me they're missing side panels (previous owner did not disclose this). One of these was damage during transit - so I sent both back to Ralph Karsten (A-S owner) to repair and tune up to spec - I also aksed him to install auto-bias option on both amp (ihave receipt for this work)
For tubes, I retube the whole thing with fresh NOS Svetlana (24 total) 6AS7 and some NOS 12SN7 (8 total)
I might put about 100 hrs thru them - Since I upgrade my speakers to much bigger, more demand current amp, I must let these go after spent more than a grant to tune up.
Great OTL design from Ralph - If you want to taste OTL with your low wattage demanded speakers, this is good change to try it out. I used these to drive my Merlin VSM-MXe with great match
Cosmetic wise is presentable with missing side panel (I hardly noticed until I saw one online)
Both have faint transformer buzz noise, which doesn't sound thru speakers. Ralph confirmed that this buzz noise doesn't affect it's sound produced.
Note 1: if you live in Texas (like me) - you don't want these, as it run really hot
Note 2: I still have tubes set that came with these amps - I will include them with the sale for free. I'm not responsible for these extra free tubes (both 6AS7s and 12SN7s)
