And all other Irish around the world, for me Bushmills Black Bush, what are your favorites?
My Grandmother (rip) was from Donegal, I have never been, its on my bucket list.

While sipping the Irish I may have to put on some Van Morrison or Bono & read some Yeats or Joyce. LOL

Tonight I am making some lamb stock and then tomorrow a family dinner of Irish beef and lamb stew with Irish soda bread.

Cheers !!!   ----Mark

Mutton would be more appropriate. You want good food? Wait a couple of days for St. Joseph's. At least we Italians know how to eat.

got a bottle of the tullamore 10 yr, see if it's any better than regular dew. it may be a blend, but it's always been my fave irish whiskey, damn tasty.

Red Breast is quite good. If you like that, you should try Powers 12 yr old Special Reserve. I know, I know, normal Powers is wretched ( in Ireland, the most popular Irish outside of Dublin) The Powers Reserve is now available in the States. I'm not a sophisticated whisky drinker and just drink standard Jamisons and occasionally Buffalo Trace. I feel the aged Bushmills and even aged Jamisons are trying to be scotch. YMMV

I like Redbreast, although it's a tad sweet. The best Irish whiskey I've had is Midleton Very Rare.   It's over $100/bottle, though.
