I noticed this today on my on screen TV Guide:
Beginning on November 1st 2012 and completing in April 2013 Rovi will be discontinuing the broadcast data service for consumer electronic guides in North America.
The guides known as Guide Plus+, TV Guide on Screen and the Rovi Guide will no longer have the ability to receive data via the broadcast data service.
Please contact your CE Manufacturer for further details
My cable service provider is Frontier FIOS using a cable card (i.e. no ugly box) and curious if others have seen this as well and if this message also appears for over the air broadcasts as well. This is one of the most useful features with my TV and will be sad to see it go.
