Two Australian movies deserving of a wider audience...

I thought the Australian mockumentary called 'Kenny' was quite enjoyable. Shane Jacobson played a very likeable character.

On the small-scale American front, I rather liked 'Spiral' - had something of a Hitchcock feel to it.

Two written by and starring Carmine Famiglietti with Mathew Bonifacio:

Lbs - insight into the life of a 315 pound man who takes control of his life only to find it confirms his darkest fears.

Amexicano - a lazy American becomes friends with illegals leading to tradegy

Both are very well written.  Both are very emotional.  Highly recommended.

Two with Casey Affleck -- a much better actor than this brother.  Both are excellent.

Big fan of Local Hero. :thumb: :thumb:  So, is ZLS if I recall.  Dunno, this may have been Burt Lancaster's last film as an eccentric and funny oil mogul.  Sweet and charming to the bone this flick is :).

I didn't like Thick as Thieves.

American Astronaut, is a movie I'd mention. Low budget, really kind of stupid, but somehow good.

A small movie that is reminiscent of The Secret of Roan Inish is Ondine starring Colin Farell.

Local Hero is a fun movie; one that is just enjoyable to watch.
