He may also be able and willing to hook you up with replacement boxes if there's a buyer who want's shipping. I think this would open a lot of options for you that are currently closed.

It's about 100.00 for him to ship the empty boxes plus whatever the boxes cost so it may not be worth it.

And, well, not having a car makes shipping even more expensive.  At this rate my friends apartment will be done and he will get them.

I have no regrets.  I am giving them to a friend of 20 years or so.  He will never be able to afford speakers so nice.  I don't need the money and would have only used it to by a new Oppo BD-105...  Oh well.  I don't need it anyway...
