I enjoyed the puff piece PBS produced on David Geffen. Best was the first half, with his formation of Asylum Records, and his interaction with the artists: Jackson Browne, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, etc. I did not know that Joni Mitchell wrote "Free Man in Paris" about Geffen.
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/tag/david-geffen/I also enjoyed the comments from Neil Young. "He sued me for not making commercial records, man!"
Well, I love Neil, but I own those records, and I'm on Geffen's side of the fence on that one, Mr. Trans.
