So a friend at work is dumping a turntable and knowing I'm the "Audio guy" in the office, asks if I want it with some LP's as well. Sure. It's pretty rough, broken cartridge, filthy, cracked dust cover, he says it worked. A Pioneer PL 200, direct drive with a suspended chassis, it's worth a look at home.

It cleans up pretty quickly. The platter mat is toast, falls apart in my hands trying to clean what appears to be WD-40 or something off of the platter. I have a lot of homemade platters, no problem there. Platter turns, speed adjusts, arm cues and returns, Auto Return, woo hooo! I'll find a cartridge in the drawer for it tomorrow and see how it sounds. So wadda ya think about me now?

Oh, the albums? Journey, Boston, Springsteen, Billy Joel, Men at Work, The Knack, and the 1812 Oveture (?). Not bad for free and a little soap.
