For Sale: Audio Mirror 20 watt Mono tube amps

These are Vladimir Bazelkov's famous 6AS7 based parallel SET amps. If you have efficient to highly efficient speakers, especially if you have horns, these are exceptional performers. If you take cost into consideration, they have no equal that I am aware of.

I am the second owner. When I bought them they had been treated to a cap mod with Janzsen Superior capacitors installed. However, after about 6 months of use, one of the amps stopped working. I contacted Vlad and he told me to send it to him. He contacted me about a week later and told me that the mod job was the problem and that he had cleaned it up and the amp was like new. He then insisted that I send him the other amp since it was probably just as sloppy. I did so, and he sent them back to me. All I paid was shipping.

That was at least two years ago and the amps have been boxed in my garage ever since except for a brief audition soon after I got them back. My system is a two channel theatre/entertainment center and it is on 15 or 16 hours a day. It just didn't make sense to burn tubes and generate heat like that so they went into storage.

Along with these amps, I can provide at least a dozen extra output tubes and a spare set of input tubes as well.

For any of you who like to work on your equipment, here is a guy in Denmark who outlines the mods he's done to an identical pair of amps.

The amps I'm offering look just like those in the link.

I'm asking $2100 for the amps and all of the tubes. This includes shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Just an FYI about Vlad in case you're not familiar with him ... I have had terrific service from him regarding my SET amps I purchased from him a few years ago (the bigger brother to these). He is very reasonable and responsive when it comes to repair/service of his amps. He may not be as well known as some, but his service is excellent, and his amps sound terrific.

Good luck macrojack with your sale. Someone will be thrilled with these.

Rockadanny - Thanks for the reinforcement and the good wishes.

Vlad is always helpful and never gratuitous about it. I never got the feeling me he was being helpful to benefit his business. He always seemed to be helping me.

I don't have enough experience with other tube amps to say firsthand how these compare to other options. I can tell you I bought them because of all the positive comments I've read and because they are beautiful and well thought out.

Well, just trying to be practical here. So I counted my 6AS7 tube inventory and discovered that I have 20 of them in addition to the set in the amps. WOW!!!

I believe Vlad said these output tubes are good for 10,000 hrs. I have 6 complete quads total so you will be set for output tubes for at least 50,000 hours. At 10 hours a day, you will have 5,000 days or 13.69 years. Of course, most of those tubes are new so you''ll get a sure 10 years out of them.

Just make sure you're the first to contact me because you don't want to be tormented the rest of you're natural life over what could have been. And that's what you'll be in for if you let somebody else take advantage of this deal.

Oh yeah - forgot to mention - these amps are self biasing. That means no tube matching necessary. The amps do that for you.

If you haven't used tubes yet, these are a very good place to cut your teeth. They are very user friendly.

I think you might have that backwards....  What does the manual say?

according to the website, the 6as7 amps are self-biasing - no tube matching or adjustment needed.

it is the 6c33c amps that need to be manually biased.  (still means tube matching is not needed.)

Eric - Check out the link I included in my ad at the top of the page. The guy shows pictures of the innards and discusses his mods. It might help you.

Since the "REMOVE" button does not do what it says, I have to ask the facilitator to remove this ad for me.

What's the reason for the removal?   Did they sale or did you reconsider?

Still for sale and now taking ridiculous offers.

These are still boxed and ready to ship. Less than one hour of use since factory restoration.
