I would like to point out that as good as both the above photos and the photos on http://www.vaporsound.com are, they simply do not do justice to the quality of both the wood and the finishing.  You just really have to see the finished product with your own eyes to appreciate the depth and three dimensionality of the grain of the veneers he uses.  To say Ryan is picky about his veneer stock is a bit of an understatement, but when you compare the raw wood to the finished product, you know that his wood finishing skills are as great as his construction technique, which literally is probably stronger than a brick.

OK, I heard the Clear Audio Ovation tonight and my opinion of Clear Audio has improved.  Actually, the Ovation as source for an all Octave Audio driving C2's would have gotten my "best of show" award tonight.  Well, unless the car audio counted then it would have been a tough call.

I bought that turntable and cartridge this morning. I had it on home audition the past two weeks. I am using it with a Nova Phonomena phonostage, and it is a smokin' good rig. This is probably the most significant improvement I've made to my system, even more than upgrading my speakers.
